Rules and Regulations

The following rules and regulations have been outlined to ensure a clear understanding of the responsibility, expectations, rules, regulations and discipline that comes with the privilege of playing and being a part of the Lake Youth Lacrosse Club. Your conduct directly impacts the progress of the team and the image and growth of the Lake Lacrosse Club.

1. I/we understand that everyone associated with Lake Youth Lacrosse (LYL) represents the school and community. Everyone will conduct themselves in an exemplary manner before, during, and after the game/event. This includes behavior both in-person and on social media.

2. I/we will treat opponents, coaches, game officials with respect before, during and after each game, practice or event regardless of result or any incidents.

3. I/we will respect the integrity and judgement of game officials. I/we will not argue, make comments or non-verbal gestures that indicate disagreement. I/we will ensure our invited guests also show respect.

4. I/we will not post images of other players, coaches, parents, volunteers that humiliate or cause distress. If you are asked to delete a posted image, I/we will immediately do so.

5. I/we authorize the club to use photos of practice, games or events on their social media and/or website for promotion.

6. I/we will communicate with my coach through the method your coach authorizes. I will not contact them at their home or work without prior permission. Your coach may authorize use of team app, text, phone, email or in person at games, practice or events.

7. I/we will avoid use of language that is racist, obscene, profane or vulgar at practice, games or events. I/we will not use social media or engage in communications or conduct that is racist, obscene, profane, vulgar, harassing, threatening, bullying, libelous, or defamatory or that discusses or encourages any illegal activity or the inappropriate use of alcohol, use of illegal drugs, sexual behavior or harassment.

8. I/we will not make comments that negatively affect the coach or club’s effectiveness or efficiency or otherwise disrupt the program.

9. I/we understand that this notice is the first and only warning. Any violation will result in immediate dismissal from the program and no refund will be given.

10. I/we understand that these rules must be accepted within 7 calendar days from receipt. These rules will be provided at a mandatory parent meeting. If acceptance is not received timely the player will be ineligible to participate.
